Choosing the Right Course to Study in Armenia

Steps to follow:
Figure out your Interests
Find out your interest area and know the answers to questions, such as
why study abroad in Armenia? Why this particular course? What after this course? Find your career goals and aims. After you get answer to these questions, move onto the next step of “Selecting the Right Programme”.
Search and Research
Search and research about the study programme you wish to pursue. Find out the institutions offering that particular programme. Visit the official websites of the institutions and know in detail about the course structure, requirements and other related things. Make a list of the institutions that fits your requirement.
Campus Visits
After preparing the list, visit the respective institutions. Talk to the professors and students out there and know more about the institution and its offerings. Clear all your doubts!
Apply
After you have searched and researched about the institution and course, make a final call and apply.
General Admission Requirements
For bachelor degree, students must hold a secondary education graduation certificate or its equivalent.
For master’s degree, students must hold a bachelor’s degree or diploma specialist; and for doctoral degree,students must hold a master’s degree.

English Language Proficiency
The TOEFL iBT and IELTS scores are accepted.
Test of English as a Foreign Language:
TOEFL tests proficiency in English language in academic environment. TOEFL iBT accepted score is 79 to 80
International English Language Testing System:
IELTS tests the proficiency in English language of non-native speakers. IELTS accepted score is 6.0 or more
Apply for Scholarships
Armenia has signed agreements with other countries to provide financial help to international students. The Ministry of Education and Science provide scholarships to students who wish to study in the Republic of Armenia.
International students are given financial assistance for study in the higher education institutions in Armenia. This assistance is provided on the following basis:
- On a contract fee basis as per the regulation
- On a tuition free basis, in conformity with intergovernmental and interdepartmental agreements
- On a tuition free basis for candidates from Diaspora as set by the government of the Republic of Armenia
While giving scholarships, preference is given to Armenian Diaspora pupils who wish to go for bachelor’s programmes in Armenian studies, art and pedagogy.
Many higher education institutions in Armenia also offer scholarships to local as well as international students. These scholarships cover some percentage of the tuition fee and are awarded on the basis of academic records and need.

Apply for Visa
If you’re accepted by the educational institution in Armenia, an admission letter would be issued to you. Once you receive the admission letter, apply for
student visa depending upon your stay in the Republic of Armenia.
