Accommodation

In Armenia, there are several housing options available for students. Higher education institutions in Armenia provide hostels to students and they are generally not expensive. 

Following are the accommodation options available in Armenia:

Dormitory: These are basically hostels in the institution campus. All the necessary facilities are being provided to the students. This option is the most apt one. Living in a dorm lets you meet new people, make friends that you may have for the rest of your life. Also, this housing option is close to the campus and classes, and is comfortable. 

Homestay / Host Family: By staying with the locals, you get a more authentic cultural experience. You learn the language of the country quickly and get to know about the culture. 

Apartment / Flat: The apartments or flats in Armenia are furnished with all the required facilities. Students can rent a flat or apartment in Armenia, share with other students. The costs vary depending upon the location, size, and the facilities provided. Many flats or apartments are available nearby the campus. 

Contact the respective higher education institution to know about the accommodation provided by them. 

Rent per month-
The rent of an apartment/flat varies depending upon the location-in or outside city centre; and the number of rooms- 1 or 3 bedrooms. It generally ranges between 40,000 AMD to 300,000 AMD.

Tuition Fees

International students have to pay as compared to the local students of Armenia. Check with the institution you have been enrolled to know about the latest tuition schedule. 

Living Expenses

The living expenses vary depending on the lifestyle. The average monthly living expenses for international students in Armenia may range from 275,000.00 AMD to 355,000.00 AMD, including accommodation, food, utilities, and other necessary things. 

Transportation

It is easy and comfortable to get around the country through Public transports. Taxi cabs, buses, minivans, minibuses, and trams are available in the country and are easily available. 

Working While Studying

Students in Armenia are allowed to work 20 hours per week alongside their studies. You can get a part time job within campus or outside. However, you may need prior permission from study department to work while studying. Also you can do extra work during weekends and holidays.
